A message from Isla Winter

Hello, you gorgeous creature!

I hope you are doing well and that these early days of spring (at least where I am) are giving you a nice little refresh! The sunshine has been divine. Sigh... talking about the weather, I have defaulted to my Canadian ways. Anyway!

I am slowly working away on Book 2, and I am so excited about this. I have some fun antics and situations that Daisy and Sloan find themselves in. While working on that, I thought I would share some of the things I've been enjoying lately -- other than the sunshine!

Reading:

Reading is slow going (my actual work gets in the way), but what I have been reading, I've been enjoying. I recently finished reading The Ones We Fight For by Katie Golightly, which was a fabulous slooooooooowww burn romance that handles topics like grief, anxiety, and self-worth so well and has what I would consider an unconventional pairing.

I am currently reading The Binding Room by Nadine Matheson and loving it. I also loved The Jigsaw Man by her and absolutely recommend picking it up if you like thrillers. Both stories have been so well done and feel fresh and gripping in this genre. I am also reading Bride by Ali Hazelwood. I'm not super far into this one yet, but what I have read, I've enjoyed and am intrigued to read more.

Watching:

The husband-person and I have finished watching the latest season of Love is Blind, and we have mixed feelings. The TLDR is that the show seems to have lost its magic. However, this reunion was probably the best one yet! We are also watching the newest season of Justified, and I'm keeping up with the current season of Survivor. The new season of Amazing Race started a couple of weeks ago (I realized last week!), so that has also been added to my weekly rotation. I don't watch a ton of TV normally - well, actually 'watch', I will have it on in the background as I'm working or writing - but I seem to be enjoying some reality TV as of late.

Playing:

MarioKart. What can I say? It's a great way to shut my brain off for a bit when it's overwhelmed after a day of work.

Anyway, that's about all I have for now. Thank you for sharing a bit of your day with me, and I hope you have a great rest of your day!

Until next time, ride on witches!

-- Isla

P.S. Should I reveal the title for book 2 soon?
